Concrete Lifting in Genesee County

We always enjoy the opportunity to work with the Genesee County Road Commission and help improve Michigan’s roads while making the most of taxpayer dollars. Concrete replacement can mean significant expense, extended road closures, demolition, hauling, and days or even weeks of disruption. By lifting and leveling existing concrete whenever conditions allow, we can often restore the surface for a fraction of the cost while keeping traffic interruptions to a minimum.

On one Genesee County project, we were able to lift the concrete road approach to a bridge approximately two inches, eliminating the height difference between the roadway and bridge deck. The entire repair was completed in under six hours, without tearing out and replacing the existing concrete. The result was a smoother transition onto the bridge, fewer bumps for motorists, less impact on snowplows and other road-maintenance equipment, and no lengthy replacement project or extended road closure.

Concrete lifting can be an extremely effective way for road commissions, municipalities, townships, HOAs, and other property managers to stretch annual road and sidewalk maintenance budgets much further. When structurally sound concrete has simply settled, lifting it back into position can eliminate trip hazards and rough transitions while avoiding unnecessary replacement. Less concrete in the landfill, fewer road closures, less money spent on repairs and replacement, and smoother roads for Michigan drivers—that’s a win for everyone.
